Nuevo proyecto de UNEP busca un consultor de hidrógeno regional en Panamá

La iniciativa está enfocada en cuatro países de América Latina y el Caribe. 

El Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente (UNEP) se prepara para iniciar su nuevo proyecto Advancing a Regional Approach to the Green Hydrogen Economy in Latin America and the Caribbean, y para eso buscan contratar a un consultor regional de hidrógeno.  

El puesto se ofrece en Panamá hasta el 6 de abril y exige fluidez en inglés y español. Además, incluye dentro de sus responsabilidades contribuir a la implementación de la plataforma H2LAC a través de capacity building.

Objective 

The purpose of this consultancy is to support the implementation of GCF Readiness project » Advancing a Regional Approach to the Green Hydrogen Economy in Latin America and the Caribbean » for B countries (Bolivia, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay). The consultant will review and edit the technical reports prepared and submitted by local consultants focused on the energy sector, guide local and international consultants on the project delivery, and collaborate with the development of technical materials for capacity and advisory sessions with the countries’ public counterparts and non-government partners. 

Responsibilities and Activities 

Project management support

The consultant will collaborate with the administrative and planning tasks related to the projects, both internal to UNEP, such as contracting, bidding, preparation of workshops, preparation of strategic partnerships, travel and publications, and external, such as reporting to the funder (activities and budget). 

Technical assistance 

Assess in the policy development, including the review and analysis of issues and trends on hydrogen economy development, preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studies to the related areas of work. Specifically, the consultant will coordinate the GCF Readiness implementation in Bolivia, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uruguay. 

Capacity building and knowledge creation

Contribute to the implementation of H2LAC platform capacity building and knowledge platform through research on electric mobility, organization and delivery of online and face-to-face training activities. 

Collect relevant information on hydrogen and sustainable energy innovations, financing and policy and transform it into recommendations for countries, cities and decision makers in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Perform other relevant duties as required.

UNEP LAC Office located in Panama City, Panama
