Chile: CORFO extends call for projects to develop or assemble electrolyzers in the country

Up to 60% of the total cost of the selected projects will be co-financed.

The Chilean Economic Development Agency (CORFO) has an open call for the manufacture and/or assembly of electrolyzers and their components in the country. The initiative seeks to facilitate the creation of strategic links between national and international companies along the value chain of hydrogen produced from renewable sources.

Increasing the supply of electrolyzers, both locally and globally, will reduce delivery times for the industry in Chile and the region. In addition, it will facilitate the development of equipment maintenance capabilities, contributing at the same time to the country’s economic growth.

CORFO’s call will co-finance up to 60% of the total cost of the selected projects, with a ceiling of up to US$ 10,000,000, in installments agreed by CORFO and the recipient entity. On the other hand, the participants must provide the remaining 40% of the co-financing.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be legal entities, created or incorporated in Chile, public or private, for-profit or not-for-profit, and that have started activities in a business line of first category. The final deadline for the call closes next Tuesday, October 22.
