The event organized in the framework of the H2-diplo – Decarbonization Diplomacy program financed by the German Federal Foreign Office (AA), funds from the International Climate Initiative (IKI), and implemented by the German Development Cooperation GIZ together with the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MinEnergía) of Colombia, presented the innovative H2 Colombia Ecosystem platform.
During the webinar, Gina Lagunes, responsible for H2-diplo project implementation, GIZ in Colombia, addressed the current work of the project. Juan Camilo Zapata, hydrogen leader, Ministry of Mines and Energy, together with José David, hydrogen advisor of the Ministry, presented the platform, its contents, access and main features.
It gathers key information on the hydrogen sector in the country, allowing to know basic aspects, studies on the country, regulations, public policies, procedures, investment opportunities, project registration, directory, among others. Thus, it is constituted as an information system available to citizens, whose purpose is to centralize, collect, disseminate and record projects and information on the hydrogen value chain and its derivatives.
The virtual event was also attended by Quentin Dominique Blommaert, Director of the H2-diplo office in Saudi Arabia, GIZ, who presented the work carried out in this country within the framework of the program.
Welcoming remarks were made by Leonard Maue, Climate Action Counselor, German Embassy in Colombia and the moderation was in charge of Constanza Meneses, coordinator of the H2LAC platform.
