H2 Peru and British Embassy in Lima hold workshop to socialize the proposed regulation of the Green Hydrogen Promotion Law

The Peruvian Hydrogen Association (H2 Peru) together with the British Embassy in Lima, held the Workshop for the Socialization of the Proposed Regulation of the Law for the Promotion of Green Hydrogen. The event, held at the British Cultural Station, brought together 50 representatives of multilateral banks, public and private sector entities, media, academia and partners of H2 Peru.
The workshop aimed to present and collect comments on the proposed regulation, prepared by the Hydrogen Technologies Unit (UTH) of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. This document establishes key guidelines for the regulation of the hydrogen value chain, including design, transportation and consumption, based on international standards. It also proposes a rigorous environmental framework and evaluates economic and non-economic incentives, inspired by global experiences.
The day also featured a panel of experts moderated by Patricio Lillo, Director of UTH and H2 Chile, and the participation of prominent national and international leaders from the public, private and academic sectors.
H2 Peru renews its members for the Board of Directors for the period 2023 – 2026
Complementing these initiatives, H2 Peru recently held its Extraordinary General Assembly, in which key points for the future of the association and the development of hydrogen in Peru were discussed and approved. During the assembly, Carlos Leon was incorporated to the Board of Directors, which was formed by Daniel Camac as President, Roxana Serpa as Vice President, Carlos Diez Canseco as Secretary General, and Carlos Leon as Treasurer. Fernando Maceda was also appointed as Executive Director.
