3rd Session : II Cycle of Technical Workshops: H2Uppp Projects in Brazil

We invite you to be part of the third and last session of the second cycle of H2Uppp/H2LAC technical workshops “H2Uppp projects in Brazil” next Wednesday, May 8th.

During this last instance, Leon Bachmann, Senior Sustainability Solution Specialist at SAP Sustainability Engagement, will present the “PPP Green Proof” initiative for the hydrogen value chain – Digital Solutions for Green Hydrogen Certificates. Its aim is to investigate the potential for digitization of certification processes for green hydrogen and Power-to-X along the entire value chain. This initially in the Brazilian context and then will consider a possible expansion and replication in two other emerging or developing countries.

Helmut Tündermann, Head of Development, Mele Biogas GmbH, will discuss the Brazil SynCrude project. It seeks to develop a replicable concept for carrying out the technical installations and components required for syncrude production. The objective is to enable this concept to be replicated by as many agricultural cooperatives as possible. It will also identify potential buyers for the syncrude.

The event will be moderated by Isabela Santos de Albuquerque, Technical Advisor of the H2Uppp Brazil Program, GIZ.

This new session is the culmination of the second series of virtual events co-organized by the H2Uppp program and the H2LAC platform. The objective of this cycle of webinars has been to transfer knowledge about the green hydrogen ecosystem and its derivatives in Latin America and the Caribbean, seeking to promote the production, use and export of the energy vector in the region.

In their previous versions, different experts presented the green hydrogen and Power-to-X public-private partnership (PPP) projects – implemented in phase 1 of the H2Uppp program – located in Mexico and Chile. Thus, a space for the exchange of ideas and collaboration was developed to promote the advancement of H2V in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
